The communities around Dallas and Acworth offer a great place to live and work. Take the time to enjoy neighborhood events as well as Cobb County Events. Even though there is plenty to do in several of the lifestyle communities like Seven Hills, Bentwater, Governors Towne Square and more, it’s still nice to venture out and enjoy some of the activities throughout the area.

During the holiday season, there are several activities in metro Atlanta from tree lighting ceremonies to holiday light exhibits to craft festivals for holiday gift shopping. Spring brings the garden festivals and outdoor activities including baseball games and 5K races. Living near a lake makes waiting for summer all the more exciting as the water returns to Lake Allatoona along with the boats, waterskiing, jet skiing and fishing. Downtown communities host weekly farmers markets offering fresh produce as well as homemade jams and other delicacies.

Cobb County Events throughout the year offer theatre, sports and neighborhood festivals from downtown Acworth to Marietta Square to the Cobb Performing Arts Centre.  And we can’t forget that our surrounding neighborhoods are filled with history where you walk the same path as the men who fought in the Civil War through Kennesaw Battleground Mountain, Picketts Mill Battlefield Historic Park, as well as locating the historical markers throughout Dallas and other towns in our area.

Traveling beyond our neighborhood and Cobb County, you can take advantage of events throughout the mountains on your to Smoky Mountain National Park up through Zell Miller Parkway. In the fall, you join others as they travel the “apple routes” to go apple picking and enjoy hayrides and farm animals. Pumpkin patches offer corn mazes and pumpkin picking. And then the year ends with the holiday festivals mentioned above and picking your own Christmas Tree.

For those that venture into Buckhead, there’s the Macy’s Pink Pig, an Atlanta tradition from Rich’s Department Store. The events calendar seeks to keep you abreast of all of these from our corner in Dallas and Acworth to the Cobb County Events to the grand events in midtown and Buckhead, there’s always something to do.
