Powder Springs homes for sale in West Cobb

Named for the seven springs in the city limits, Powder Springs was originally named Springville, but became Powder Springs in 1859. Like many other communities in West Cobb, Powder Springs is steeped in Civil War history, including a skirmish at Lattermore’s Mills on June 20, 1975 that was a part of the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain and General Sherman’s Atlanta Campaign.

Today, residents can enjoy walking the SIlver Comet Trail through Powder Springs, as well as enjoying time in the historical downtown district with shops, restaurants and more.
