While everyone was social distancing (and some were quarantined), there was an evolution of change occurring throughout our state. Microbreweries and craft beers were created while taprooms were opening. And tomorrow, March 5, we will celebrate Georgia Beer Day! There are currently over 50 breweries and brewpubs through the metro Atlanta area, and more are scheduled to open soon (like Six Bridges – Crabapple in Alpharetta).

Join the celebration at a brewery near you. Call to see if your brewery is celebrating Georgia Beer Day, organized by the Georgia Craft Brewers Guild. If they are, they may be selling limited-edition collector’s pint glasses. And there will be lots of events with specials to celebrate the day – so check before you, and remember not to drink and drive!

Some of the breweries are close to neighborhoods, like Bucking Goat Brewing Company, located in the shopping center at the entrance to Seven Hills. And then there are community downtown locations, like Red Top Brewhouse in downtown Acworth, within walking distance to the new luxury townhome development being built.
