Get The Facts About Selling Your West Cobb Home

The real estate market around West Cobb is hot! Homes are selling quickly and sometimes for more than asking price. During the month of April, homes sold in less than 30 days in West Cobb for a median value of 97.83% of list price. If you are considering selling your home, now may be the time, but get the facts about selling your West Cobb home. Selling your home can be a very complex, difficult and time consuming process, and requires a commitment on your part.

Some of the things you will need to be ready for include getting your home ready for sale. Statistics show that homes that are in move-in ready condition sell faster. Consider any cosmetic problems in your home as well as functional repairs and upgrades. You might want to have an inspection on your home prior to listing it, which will help you understand what might need to be done as well as help to eliminate the costs of paying a buyer’s contractor. Inspections can sometimes derail a sale, but if you have already addressed the problems, it is a non-issue.

Bicycle Safety Around West Cobb

It’s summertime and the time of year when people are outside. It’s time to think about safety as you drive area roads, whether they are main roads or neighborhood streets. Kids are outside playing. And bike riders of all ages are everywhere! Bicycle safety around West Cobb and throughout metro Atlanta needs to be top of mind, whether you are a child or an adult. Bikers need to make sure they use bike lanes where they exist, and if they don’t, everyone needs to share the road – whether a car driver, trucker or biker. While car and truck drivers needed to pass a test to get a driver’s license, bikers do not. But in Georgia, a bicycle is legally a “vehicle”, and therefore bikers need to remember that general vehicular traffic law applies to the operation of a bicycle.

The GeorgiaBikes website offers a recap of the laws that makes it easy to understand. They also offer a calendar of bike events throughout the state to raise awareness about bike safety. The Silver Comet Trail offers bike trails, and the development of the Atlanta Beltline, biking has become even more popular around town. And Cobb County is also proposing changes that include walking and biking trails to augment those already in our area.

Things To Do Around West Cobb – Sunday Brunch

Sunday Brunch is a time honored tradition in many families, whether it is a gathering after church services, scheduled time with friends and family, or an event saved for special occasions. First suggested by British author Guy Beringer in 1895, this blend of “breakfast” and “lunch” was suggested to be an alternative to the then post-church Sunday meals. Beringer described this option as “cheerful, sociable and inciting”. It took a while for this trend to appear in the US, where rumor has it that Hollywood stars making transcontinental train trips stopped in Chicago to enjoy a late morning meal in the 1930s.

On Sunday, May 10, families around West Cobb will celebrate Mother’s Day. Many will be selecting local restaurats to gather for brunch. There are several restaurants around West Cobb that offer Sunday Brunch on a regular basis, while others that are normally closed on Sundays, may offer Saturday Brunch, such as Henry’s Louisiana Grill in downtown Acworth.
