Living in the neighborhood, you know that there are several restaurants available for local dining options. Just driving Cedarcrest Road from Cobb Parkway to Dallas Acworth, you pass more than 10 restaurants. So there are several choices without driving too far. And we are fortunate that many of them offer take out, and in some cases, delivery. But sometimes, you just want to get out.
One of those evenings should definitely be spent at Pacific Spice. Tucked among the shops in Governors Towne Square shopping center at Cedarcrest Road and Cobb Parkway, is Pacific Spice. An Asian restaurant, they offer Thai, Japanese and Chinese cuisine. If you are partial to sushi, you can sit at the bar and watch as they create your selection, or you can join others at a table. On the other side of the restaurant, you can combine dining and entertainment at their hibachi tables. And then of course, there are the many other options available on their menu from traditional Chinese and Thai items to house specialties.
Peking Duck
I prefer their Peking Duck, which is one of my favorites. I began my dinner with a house salad and ginger dressing, as did the others I was with. Everyone loved it! But last night we also ordered their Tangerine Beef. The restaurant was on a roll, since everyone loved it, and agreed it was the best they had ever had. The duck was crispy and tasty, with scallions, cucumbers and tomatoes to add to the pancakes.

While we didn’t have soup last night, we have had their soup in the past. They offer a Velvet Corn & Chicken Soup (for 2) that is excellent, and a nice departure from the usual Wonton or Egg Drop Soup.
There was no room for dessert, and of course we came home with leftovers.
While there are several restaurants in our neighborhood, the variety of Asian options offered by Pacific Spice make it a great place to go with friends. There’s something for everyone and enough variety to provide an adventure in dining.
