🐣 Tips for a Great Easter Egg Hunt Experience
- Always verify before you go. Many events announce final dates just 2–4 weeks ahead. Check the host city's Parks & Recreation website or Facebook page the week of the event to confirm nothing has changed.
- Arrive early — especially for the big ones. The Northeast Cobb Egg Drop and Acworth hunt draw massive crowds. Plan to arrive 20–30 minutes early to park and get settled.
- Know your age group. Most events divide children by age bracket. Knowing where your child hunts before you arrive will save time and stress.
- Bring your own basket or bag. Events almost never supply bags! Pack a standard Easter basket or a small tote.
- Dress for the weather and the grass. Many hunts are on athletic fields. Comfortable shoes are a must. March and early April mornings can be cool — layers are smart!
- Bring a camera. Easter Bunny photo stations are popular, and you'll want to capture the egg-finding excitement. Most official photo stations also have separate photographers for purchase.
- Sign up for city newsletters. The best way to get 2026 date announcements as soon as they drop is to subscribe to your city's Parks & Recreation email list or follow their Facebook page.
