LUXURY

Echelon

Echelon is a private, gated golf community in Alpharetta, Georgia, built around an 18-hole championship course designed by Rees Jones. Spread across roughly 600 acres of rolling hills and lakes just north of Milton, it sits at the Fulton and Cherokee county line, which gives homeowners an Alpharetta address with Cherokee County property tax rates.

The homes are the draw for buyers at the estate tier. Echelon is known for custom residences, commonly four to seven bedrooms, set on lots that often exceed an acre, with many overlooking the golf course or the community's lakes. Because the neighborhood was planned as a limited collection of homesites and is still not fully built out, there are existing estate homes for sale alongside lots where you can build a custom home.

At the center of the community is the Echelon Golf Club. The Rees Jones course, a 20,000-square-foot clubhouse, and a large practice facility anchor a country club lifestyle that includes golf, tennis, swim, and dining, along with member events through the year. A 24-hour staffed gatehouse controls access to the community.

Echelon's setting is part of its appeal. The surrounding area is known for rolling terrain and horse farms, yet GA 400 and the shopping and dining of Alpharetta and Roswell are minutes away, and the Big Creek Greenway and nearby parks add walking and biking close to home. It is a quiet, secluded address that is still well connected to North Atlanta.

I'm Marna Friedman, a REALTOR® with Atlanta Communities, and I represent buyers and sellers in luxury and golf communities across NW Metro Atlanta and North Fulton. Prices and inventory in a community like this change often, so current listings are the best gauge of value. Reach out to talk through buying, selling, or building in Echelon.
