Marietta Country Club
The Overlook at Marietta Country Club is a gated, single-family-home community in Kennesaw, Georgia, set in West Cobb at the base of Kennesaw Mountain and adjoining the Marietta Country Club golf course. Built largely in the 2000s and 2010s, it pairs custom homes with extensive community amenities and a private golf-cart tunnel that connects directly to the club.
The homes are sizable. The Overlook is known for brick, stone, and shake-shingle architecture on generous lots, with floor plans that commonly run five to seven bedrooms and several thousand square feet. Many sites offer views of the golf course, the community's lake, or Kennesaw Mountain. Because the neighborhood is well established, most homes are resale, though custom build opportunities still appear on scattered lots.
The community is built for an active, golf-cart-friendly lifestyle. Residents have access to two pools, including one with a waterslide tower, tennis and pickleball courts, a clubhouse, a playground, pavilions, and a 28-acre spring-fed lake. The private cart tunnel provides underground access to Marietta Country Club, where homeowners can choose to join for golf, dining, and additional club amenities.
Location is part of the appeal. The Overlook sits minutes from I-75 and Barrett Parkway, with West Cobb shopping and dining close by and Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park and its trails just up the road. Downtown and Midtown Atlanta are roughly half an hour away, which makes the community feel tucked away without being remote.

Inventory here is often limited and prices vary with the home, so current listings are the best gauge of the market. Reach out to talk through buying, selling, or building in The Overlook.
