LUXURY

Old Paper Mill

Old Paper Mill is an established single-family neighborhood in East Cobb, Marietta, Georgia, set near Sope Creek and the historic Marietta paper mill ruins that give the community its name. Built largely in the 1980s and 1990s, it has become one of the area's recognized swim and tennis neighborhoods.

The homes reflect that era and setting. Old Paper Mill is known for spacious traditional and ranch-style residences on large lots, many close to a half acre, with several positioned on quiet cul-de-sacs. A number have been extensively renovated, with updated kitchens, open floor plans, and main-level living, which has pushed the upper end of the neighborhood into luxury territory while keeping a range of options below it.

An active homeowners association maintains the community's shared amenities, including a swimming pool, tennis courts, and a clubhouse, along with a year-round calendar of neighborhood events. Just outside the neighborhood, the Sope Creek Trail and the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area offer hiking, paths along the water, and access to the historic paper mill ruins.

Location is a large part of the appeal. Old Paper Mill sits minutes from I-75 and I-285, which keeps the Marietta Square, the river, and the wider Atlanta metro within easy reach. That combination of established homes, mature landscaping, and a central East Cobb address is what continues to draw buyers here.
